On July 3, 2020, the Stafford Sheriff’s Office received a lookout from the City of Fredericksburg Police Department in reference to a possible impaired driver. Within a minute of receiving the lookout, another call came in stating that the same vehicle description, a red Jeep Liberty, had struck a vehicle and fled the scene in southern Stafford.

First Sergeant Floirendo located the vehicle in the area of Carriage Hill Drive. First Sergeant Floirendo caught up to the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle continued to flee from First Sergeant Floirendo.

Deputy C. C. Lee joined the pursuit and both he and First Sergeant Floirendo were able to get the vehicle stopped in the area of Gayle Street.

The driver of the vehicle was detained and identified as Timothy Fowler, 42. Field Sobriety Tests were completed and Fowler was arrested for DUI, reckless driving, driving suspended, felony hit and run, felony eluding, and driving on the wrong side of a highway. A search warrant for blood was executed and Fowler was held without bond.
