Wanted Suspect Arrested on Drug Charges

Stafford, VA. A wanted suspect was arrested on drug-related charges on Monday night by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop.

On April 20, 2020, at approximately 7:12 p.m., Deputy Pearce and Deputy Boyle located a wanted subject in a vehicle in the parking lot of the McDonald’s located at 1203 Warrenton Road. A traffic stop was conducted and deputies confirmed the subject was Joshua Ennis, 32, of Bealeton, VA. The suspect was wanted on charges of possession with intent to distribute out of Stafford County.

The suspect was taken into custody and a bag of suspected methamphetamine was located on his person. Suspected methamphetamine, ammunition, and a homemade explosive device were also located in the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond on his outstanding warrants. He received additional charges of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, possession of ammunition by a felon, and possession of an explosive device.

The passenger was also detained and identified as Cheryl Ennis, 32, of Fredericksburg. Suspected methamphetamine was located on her person. She was taken into custody and incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of controlled paraphernalia.
