On November 28, 2019, at approximately 12:07 a.m., Deputy Whitt responded to reports of a man on a bicycle struck in the area of Cambridge Street and Carter Street. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim who advised that he was riding his bicycle in the left turn lane on Cambridge Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The victim believes it was a white SUV. He then called the Sheriff’s Office and was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
