Update: A criminal complaint was filed after deputies determined that the juvenile had brandished the weapon at a passing vehicle.

This morning, at approximately 7:40 a.m., the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a juvenile with a firearm near a bus stop in the area of Town and Country Drive and Clint Lane. Upon arrival, deputies observed the 14-year-old juvenile holding a gun with an orange tip. The gun was determined to be an airsoft gun which shoots BBs. Deputies determined the juvenile is not a Stafford County Public Schools student. Juvenile Intake was contacted and a criminal complaint for brandishing has been filed. The incident remains under investigation.
