Stafford VA. A suspect was arrested on Wednesday night by units with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office in connection with two burglaries at local businesses.

On July 31, 2019, at approximately 10:30 p.m., deputies responded to an alarm at the Bed Bath and Beyond located at 1190 Stafford Market Place. Upon arrival, they observed no signs of forced entry; however, they found two damaged cash registers inside.

Surveillance video footage revealed that a male subject hid in the store until it closed and the employees had left. The suspect attempted to steal money from the cash registers, but was unsuccessful. He then exited the store.

In the meantime, at approximately 11:26 p.m., deputies responded to an alarm at Winning Image Salon and Day Spa. Upon arrival, they discovered the back door was broken and there was damage to a cash register. Surveillance video footage revealed that the same suspect was involved in both burglaries.

Shortly thereafter, Deputy Connelly located the suspect walking on Worth Avenue. Hussein Jarrar, 20, of Stafford was taken into custody for breaking and entering and felony destruction of property. He was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
