Stafford, VA. A suspect who was arrested following a pursuit that occurred on Warrenton Road early Thursday morning was arrested again last night on charges of destruction of property.

On Thursday, May 23, 2019, Deputy Aubrecht responded to a vandalism complaint at Rappahannock Regional Jail. A recently released inmate identified as William Strasburg, 46, of Fairfax had reportedly damaged jail property prior to leaving the building.

Upon arrival, the deputy reviewed security camera footage which showed the suspect arguing with a jail employee in the property release area of the building. During the violent outburst, he repeatedly kicked the metal delivery tray, causing extensive damage.

In the meantime, the suspect arrived at the Sheriff’s Office in an attempt to retrieve a personal item seized during the pursuit. While at the Sheriff’s Office, he was taken into custody and served a felony warrant for destruction of property. Strasburg was subsequently incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
