Stafford, VA. Three suspects were apprehended on Friday evening following an assault involving a weapon at a residence in Stafford County.
On May 3, 2019, at approximately 7:11 p.m., Deputy Stachurski responded to a residence located on the 1000 block of Thomas Jefferson Place for a reported assault involving four subjects, including one with a firearm. The victim advised that three subjects then left in a gray sedan, leaving behind a female subject.
Upon arrival, Deputy Stachurski made contact with the female subject who was identified as April Coles, 36, of Fredericksburg. She denied that there was a disturbance, but said the victim assaulted her son earlier that day. The deputy then made contact with the victim who said Coles arrived home from work and confronted him about the alleged assault. She spit in his face and threw a book at his head, causing a laceration. The three male subjects were present at the time of the incident and one had a firearm holstered on his side. He threatened to shoot the victim, but did not remove the firearm from the holster.
Coles was taken into custody and released on charges of assault and battery. In the meantime, the victim called 911 again to report that the three male subjects returned, broke into his house, and assaulted him. At approximately 8:09 p.m., Deputy Bolinsky responded to the residence. He made contact with the victim who said the subjects kicked in his front door while he was watching a movie. They began to assault him and repeatedly hit him in the head with a firearm.
First Sergeant Purcell was able to identify the subjects as Dedric O’Neil, 21, of Fredericksburg and Tyler Deleon, 21, of Fredericksburg. The third subject was identified as a 16-year-old juvenile.
A ping of two of the suspects’ phones was conducted and both pinged at a mall area in Fairfax County. A service request was sent to the Fairfax County Police Department, which quickly located and arrested the suspects. The adult suspects were incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail. The juvenile was transported to juvenile intake where he was held.
Deleon is charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit assault, assault by mob, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. O’Neil is charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit assault, assault by mob, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
