Stafford, VA. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a murder-suicide that occurred on Thursday at a residence in the northern end of the county.

On April 18, 2019, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a family member reported finding the body of a deceased female subject in a residence on Brighton Way. Upon arrival, deputies also found the body of a deceased male subject. Both subjects are middle-aged. Their names will not be released until next of kin have been notified.

Detectives believe the incident is a murder-suicide. Preliminary investigations revealed gunshot wounds to the bodies of both subjects. The investigation is ongoing.
