Missing Person in Stafford County Safely Located

Stafford, VA. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public, Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfax County Police Department, and all our partners who helped locate an 88-year-old male subject who was reported missing on Tuesday morning.

On April 9, 2019, at approximately 11:00 a.m., units with the Stafford Sheriff’s Office began searching for a missing 88-year-old male subject. Several units, including the K9 and drone units, responded to the area of Ivywood Drive to search for the subject.

In addition, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office responded with a bloodhound to search the area and the Fairfax County Police Department deployed a helicopter. The missing subject was safely located at approximately 1:00 p.m.

We would also like to thank Horizons Church for allowing us to use their building for a command post during the investigation.
