Stafford, VA. A suspect was arrested on Friday night by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office for driving under the influence after hitting a mailbox.

On February 8, 2019, at approximately 11:35 p.m., the Fredericksburg Police Department put out a “Be on the Lookout” for a white Jeep Cherokee that had struck a mailbox. One of the tags from the vehicle was found near the mailbox. Another “Be on the Lookout” was issued by the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office for a white SUV, possibly a Jeep, driving southbound in the northbound lanes.

Shortly thereafter, Deputy Bolinksy located the suspect vehicle traveling on Celebrate Virginia Parkway. The vehicle then turned into an apartment complex located at 2350 Celebrate Virginia Parkway. The deputy observed the driver exit the vehicle to let a friend into the gate.

At that point, Deputy Bolinsky made contact with the driver. He detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her person, and her eyes were bloodshot and glassy. She was also unsteady on her feet. Field sobriety tests were subsequently conducted.

Kaitlyn Lindholm, 23, of Fredericksburg was taken into custody and incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail. She is charged with driving under the influence.
