Homicide Victim Found in Home in South Stafford

On Sunday November 25, 2018 at 1217 PM, Deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to an unknown medical problem at a home on Newton Road in South Stafford. Upon arrival, they spoke with a friend of the victim who stated he had knocked on the door of the residence, but the occupant did not answer. Finding the back door unlocked, he went inside and found his friend on the floor, suffering from obvious trauma. He immediately exited the home and called 911.

Deputies arrived and entered the home. They found Mr. Larry Dean Roberson, fifty-four years old deceased. Evidence revealed that he was the victim of a homicide. There were no other subjects in the residence.

Detectives have no motive or suspects at this time. The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Fairfax for examination.
