Overdose at Stafford Marketplace Restaurant Leads to Drug Arrest

Stafford, VA. Deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect last week following a drug overdose outside of the Chili’s restaurant at Stafford Marketplace.

On July 4, 2018, at approximately 5:39 p.m., Deputy A.C. Wolford responded to the Chili’s located at 1030 Stafford Marketplace in reference to an unconscious male subject. Upon arrival, the deputy observed medical personnel treating the subject who was revived after Narcan was administered.

The subject was identified as James Richard Finley, 38, of Stafford. A search revealed a powdery substance on the subject’s person. Finley admitted to taking the substance prior to being found.

Following his release from the hospital, Finley was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5000.00 secured bond. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
