Multiple Charges Stem from Residential Fire Investigation

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Lisa Bartosch on multiple felony charges connected to the residential fire which occurred on May 1, 2017, at her home on Devonshire Lane, located in the Hampton Oaks subdivision.

Members of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office were assisted by the Stafford County Fire Marshals’ Office during the month long investigation. It was determined that Ms. Bartosch intentionally set the fire.

Lisa Schulken Bartosch, age 52 of Devonshire Lane, was charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Malicious Wounding, and Arson. She was incarcerated on May 26, 2017, at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on no bond.

On May 29, 2017, Mr. Scott Michael Bartosch Jr., age 51, succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the fire. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are forthcoming.
