The Stafford Sheriff’s Office and the Stafford Fire Marshal continue to investigate a fire that occurred this morning in a Devonshire Lane residence in the Hampton Oaks subdivision. Both agencies responded to the scene at approximately 9:18 AM.

Initially, it is believed that this fire was set as a result of a domestic situation between the husband and wife who are the only residents of the home. The male and female subjects both sustained fire related injuries and were transported to regional hospitals.

The investigation is in its early stages, and there are no charges at this time.
