By Public Information Officer M.C. MORRIS MONCURE
April 17, 2017

On April 16, 2017, at approximately 9:30 PM, while traveling southbound on Warrenton Road, Deputy W.J. McWaters observed a vehicle, with expired temporary tags, enter South Gateway Drive. While running the tag, he learned that the registered owner of the vehicle was a female who was wanted for failure to appear in court on a traffic offense.

The vehicle, a black Ford, was being driven by a male subject and pulled into the McDonald’s parking lot. Deputy McWaters saw a female exit the vehicle and subsequently enter the McDonalds. After a brief stay in the restaurant, she returned to the Ford. Deputy McWaters then approached and identified her as the wanted subject.

The female, identified as Laquaisha Lajuan Tinch, was advised by the deputy that she had an active warrant in Stafford. She stated that she did not and to get away from her. As Deputy McWaters began to take Ms. Tinch into custody, she attempted to pull away and protest very loudly. She was escorted to the patrol car and placed in the backseat where she continued to curse and kick wildly. As Deputy McWaters began to fasten the seat belt, Ms. Tinch kicked him, as well.

Laquaisha Lajuan Tinch, of Hidden Spring Drive in Manassas, VA., was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement and served with the outstanding Capias. She is held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on no bond.
