On March 18, 2017, at approximately 4:50 PM, multiple units responded to a disturbance at the Walmart located at 125 Washington Square Plaza involving an estranged couple engaged in a custody dispute.

The male, later identified as Casey Irvin, learned that his estranged wife was shopping at Walmart with the couple’s children. He arrived at the store, and before entering, cut both passengers’ side tires of her vehicle. Mr. Irvin then proceeded into the store and attempted to retrieve his children from their mother’s custody. Witnesses reported that during the struggle, the female shouted to, “Call the Police!”

Casey Donald Deane Irvin, age 37 of White Oak Road in Stafford VA, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Vandalism, and Tampering with a Vehicle. He was incarcerated in the Rappahannock Regional Jail on no bond.
