Sheriff Jett takes the Plunge for Special Olympics

Sheriff Charles Jett will take the plunge in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean to help raise money for Special Olympics Virginia on Saturday, February 6, 2010 in Virginia Beach.
This is an annual fundraiser for Special Olympics Virginia that Sheriff Jett and hundreds of others participate in every year. Individuals take the plunge in the cold ocean water after receiving donations in the name of Special Olympics Virginia. Individuals interested in helping Sheriff Jett in this very worthwhile charity can make a donation to Special Olympics Virginia.
Make checks payable to Special Olympics Virginia and mail the check to 1st Sgt. Darrell English, Stafford County Sheriff's Office, at P.O. Box 189 Stafford, Virginia 22555. Individuals may also donate on line at www.firstgiving.com/sheriffjett using a credit card.
Please note on the check that it is for the Polar Plunge, and Area 11!! Word has it that the water temperature will be in the low 40's!!!!!!
