The community is invited to participate in a Town Hall-styled event on Opioid Addiction on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Brooke Point High School.

This event will offer a variety of speakers and resources. Attendees will hear how addiction starts, discover the signs that appear if someone you love is abusing drugs, and learn of the resources available to help.

Several community resource representatives will be available. Speakers include a recovery addict who turned tragedy into triumph, a parent who has traveled the road with a heroin-addicted son, what is being seen on the streets by law enforcement and a legal perspective from the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
