The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a bank robbery took place this morning, November 3, 2014 at the BB&T Bank at 760 Warrenton Road.

At approximately 10:18 this morning multiple units from the Sheriff’s Office responded to a bank robbery alarm at the BB&T Bank at 760 Warrenton Road. In this incident the male suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. The suspect had a hand gun in the waist band of his pants. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and then walked out of the bank in the direction of Plantation Drive.

The suspect is described as a black male, small build, wearing a black jacket, black pants, a black flat hat and black sunglasses. He was also wearing a white collared shirt with a yellow tie and appears to be in his mid-forties, displaying light facial hair.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. If anyone has any information as to the identity of the suspect they are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 540-658-4400, call Crime Solvers at 540-659-2020 (caller may remain anonymous) or text “STAFFORD” + your tip to CRIMES (274637).
