I-95 Traveler Alert

(New) Motorists should expect delays on I-95 north and south near Exit 92 (Kings Dominion/Doswell) in Hanover County due to Virginia State Fair traffic. Traffic may also be delayed on Route 301 and Route 30 in Caroline County. The fair is scheduled to run through Sunday, October 5.

Stafford County

Interstate 95
Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.– 3 p.m.; one lane will be closed on I-95 north between mile marker 148 located at the Stafford County line and mile marker 151 in Prince William County. Crews will be repairing the pavement. Expect delays.

Interstate 95
(New) Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m.– 3 p.m.; crews will be repairing potholes on I-95 north and south between Exit 143 (Route 610/Garrisonville) in Stafford County and mile marker 151 in Prince William County. One lane will be closed in this mobile work zone. Expect delays.

Interstate 95
Tuesday and Thursday, 9 p.m.– 4 a.m.; two lanes will be closed on I-95 north between mile marker 147 located near the Stafford County line and mile marker 151 in Prince William County. Crews will be repairing the pavement. Expect delays.

Interstate 95 and Ramps at Exit 140
(New) Wednesday, 9 a.m.– 3 p.m.; one lane will be closed on I-95 north and south at Exit 140 (Route 630/Stafford). In addition, the on and off ramps will be periodically closed while crews inspect the I-95 bridge over Route 630. To avoid delays use Route 1 north and south.

Route 1/Butler Road/Carter Street at Falmouth
(Update) Sunday - Thursday, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.; sewer and utility work continues at the Falmouth intersection. Traffic reduced to a single lane. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

Route 3 Eastbound
Sunday – Thursday, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. ; motorists should expect lane closures, unmarked pavement and a rough driving surface on eastbound Route 3 from the Blue and Gray Parkway to the King George County line. Crews are milling and paving in this area.

Route 630 (Courthouse Road)
(New) Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Route 630 at the I-95 bridge. Crews will be performing a routine safety inspection of the bridge located at the I-95 interchange. Expect delays.

Route 656 (Greenbank Road)
Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Greenbank Road will be closed to through traffic between Banks Ford Parkway and the dead end. Crews will be performing utility work in this area. Greenbank Road will open to traffic at 3 p.m. each day.

Bridge Approach Tree Trimming
(New) Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be trimming trees at the following bridge approaches. Motorists should expect brief delays:

• Falmouth Bridge – Monday
• Chatham Bridge – Tuesday and Wednesday
• Blue and Gray Parkway – Thursday and Friday

Routine Maintenance Activities
Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; crews will be performing routine maintenance that may cause brief travel delays at the following locations this week:

• Route 17 – ditching
