VDOT CREWS FOCUS ON I-95, PRIMARY ROADS

Major routes in Fredericksburg area have slush or snow coverage

FREDERICKSBURG – Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are making progress plowing and treating Interstate 95 and primary roads this morning, but major routes in the Fredericksburg area and northern Middle Peninsula remain mostly covered in slush or snow, and motorists are advised to stay off the roads.

Sleet and freezing rain this morning may increase the potential for icy conditions to develop, creating a slick road surface.
