On Thursday evening, March 14, 2013, Stafford County Detectives executed a search warrant at 881 Belle Plains Road. As a result of that search warrant, the Sheriff's Office remains onsite in furtherance of the ongoing investigation.
At the time of the search, Dennis Paul Benzie was arrested on multiple charges to include seven charges of distribution of scheduled 1 drugs (methamphetamine). Following the execution of the search warrant, four additional charges were made which included possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm while possessing narcotics, possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony and possession of marijuana.

We want to assure the public that this investigation does not pose a threat to the Belle Plains community.
