STAFFORD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY REPORTED
In these incidents the subjects offer free cleaning products or offer to clean floors for free. The subjects claim to be in the process of opening a "cleaning shop" either in the City of Fredericksburg or off of White Oak Road in Stafford. In one incident a subject asked the homeowner if he wanted to buy a vacuum cleaner. At this time no crime has been committed but the actions of the subjects are suspicious in nature. The subjects have been described as 5'06" white male in his fifties with slicked back hair wearing a light tan blazer, a 6'04" balding black male also in his fifties. The third individual has been described as a pregnant female. The subjects may be travelling in a dark colored SUV. It is required in Stafford County that anyone attempting to sell items door to door must have a Solicitor's permit that has been issued by Stafford County. This photo ID permit is proof that the individual has gone through the Stafford County Code & Compliance Department, has received a background check through the Sheriff's Office and has received a photo ID and is now allowed to solicit in Stafford County. Solicitors must have this ID with them; present it when asked, when soliciting in Stafford County. Citizens are urged to contact the Sheriff's Office if they experience a situation such as the one that has been described in this release at 540-658-4400. |
